Women's Beret Hats

 These unique individually handmade 'Creature Beret Hats for women from my ‘Slouchy Berets’ collection, handmade in Ireland of course, feature unique motifs of flowers and creatures such as insects, like butterflies, ladybirds or bumblebees and would make the perfect accessory for nature lovers, gardeners and wildlife enthusiasts who like the outdoors and love hats. 

They have a romantic appeal being lightweight feel due to the lacy style stitch and choice of wool which makes them perfect for Summer and Winter. The band is loose an generous so depending on how you like to style it you may prefer to let it hang softly and losely or you may alternatively use a little clip to secure it in place.

They are particularly great for women who have an affinity with nature but they would be appreciated by others too. Each one has been carefully hand knit and hand embellished with a unique and motif signaling a particular creature whether an insect or a mammal. and each one features an imaginative flower. Each beret is knit in a freestyle pattern and each one is different.

They are made of mixed fibers including wool, acrylic and other yarns.

Care Instructions

To care for your hat simply wash by hand with a small squirt of soft detergent in warm water squeezing just a little to bring up a lather. Then rinse before squeezing (not wringing though) or easier still just roll up in a clean towel, squeeze it and then allow to dry flat or drape over a non-absorbent surface or object such as a football, chair back or other smooth object and wait a day or so depending on the air temperature. Be careful not to use an electric clothes dryer or other quick drying options.
